The all new STIHL MSA 220 T and MSA 220 TC-O are STIHL’s most powerful cordless top handle chainsaws, designed for professional use by trained arborists.

The STIHL MSA 220 T models are a fantastic alternative to the petrol MS 201 TC-M chainsaw and are more than capable of cutting large trunks, as well as reduction cuts in the tree canopy. The STIHL 220 T boasts a compact and well-balanced design, making it is easy to handle even in awkward or outstretched positions.

The intuitive trigger lockout system is simple to use, and the electronic unlock button is within easy reach of the operator's thumb. The status LED will light up green when the cordless chainsaw is ready for use, and the chain brake LED will light up red when the chain brake is engaged, making it clear when the chainsaw is ready for operation.

The machine will deactivate a second after the trigger lockout switch is released, putting the operator in full control of when the machine is live. The MSA 220 TC-O model features a chain oil sensor, designed to alert the user when the chain oil needs topping up via a bright red LED light on the handle display. This helps to prevent premature wear of the guide bar and chainsaw chain, as well as avoiding climbing up the tree to find you have no oil!

Both cordless top handle chainsaws also feature an adjustable oil pump, so you can customize the oil output to match the application or guide bar length at hand. Just like the STIHL MS 201 TC-M, the 220 T’s have a sprocket cover with captive nut, easy to use side chain tensioner, steel bumper spikes and a black felling line for making accurate cuts. With the STIHL AP 300 S battery, the 220 T cordless chainsaw can match the MS 201’s power output too!

We do not recommend using the MSA 220 T models with any battery smaller than an AP 300 S, as this will reduce both the working time and the performance. The AP 300 S battery can be fully charged in 45 minutes with the STIHL AL 500 quick charger and will give up to 29 minutes of working time depending on what’s being cut and how it’s used.
