With a single-sided 30 inch / 75 cm cutting blade that features large teeth and a lower blade speed, the HS 87 R can cope with thick growth. The special blade geometry ensures high cutting performance, while STIHL's 2-MIX engine has sufficient power reserves to call upon when needed. It also provides excellent acceleration with low fuel consumption, low emissions and a light weight.
Comfortable & easy to use
With an electronic ignition module and manual fuel pump, the HS 87 R is reliable to start and trouble-free to run, also needing fewer starting pulls after extended breaks in operation. An anti-vibration system dampens the oscillations from the machine's engine to significantly reduce vibrations at the handles and ensure you can work for longer. Tool-free filler caps for fuel and oil are easy to open and close, while a long-life air filter system means longer cleaning intervals and better protection of the engine.
