TSA 500 Cordless Consaw

The STIHL TSA 500 consaw is a powerful 14" (350 mm) battery-powered machine in the STIHL AP System, built for professional use in construction, hardscaping, and pipework. It is ideal for cutting a wide range of materials including steel, brick, concrete, paving, natural stone, reinforced concrete, and rebar.

Powered by two AP batteries delivering a 72V output, the TSA 500 provides exceptional cutting performance. It comes fitted as standard with a high-performance 14" composite resin cutting wheel, though for longer, more demanding applications, we recommend upgrading to the STIHL D-SB90 diamond cutting wheel.

With an impressive mechanical output of up to 4.2 kW, the TSA 500 delivers performance comparable to the petrol-driven TS 500i—while offering all the advantages of battery power. Expect lower vibration, zero emissions, and no idling between cuts. The reduced vibration also allows for a narrower cutting kerf, improving precision and ensuring consistently accurate results. The consaw offers a maximum cutting depth of 125 mm (4.9").

Designed with user comfort in mind, the TSA 500 features a lightweight, adjustable magnesium guard with an integrated water guide. This helps suppress dust, improves visibility of the cutting wheel, and enhances overall working conditions while reducing operator fatigue.

Excellent ergonomics and balanced weight distribution—thanks to the intelligent positioning of the motor and batteries—make the TSA 500 easy to handle, even during extended use. The integrated electronic interface on the control handle provides clear information on battery status and selected speed settings (levels 1–3). It also features built-in STIHL connected functionality for enhanced tool management.

The durable EC motor is virtually wear-free, delivering smooth, quiet operation with minimal vibration. A STIHL magnetic filter system protects internal components by capturing metal dust and particles, and can be easily removed for quick cleaning—helping to extend the machine’s service life.

For added efficiency, the TSA 500 includes a fast-stop brake that brings the cutting wheel to a halt in under 4 seconds. This system also recovers energy back into the battery, helping to extend overall runtime.

With low noise output and zero emissions, the TSA 500 consaw is also suitable for indoor use.

For optimal performance, the TSA 500 should be paired with the AP 500 S battery. Using AP 200 S or AP 300 S batteries will result in reduced performance. On a full charge with the AP 500 S, the TSA 500 delivers a working time of approximately 20–40 minutes.

Power Boost
Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.

Constant Power
REGARDLESS OF BATTERY CHARGE STATUS. With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.

Adjustable STIHL Magnesium Guard
PROTECTS AGAINST CUTTINGS AND DIRT. The adjustable guard with integrated water guide protects against cuttings while working and directs dirt away. At the same time, this guard provides a good view of the cutting wheel for precise work. The cast magnesium guard makes the tool lightweight and robust.

Water Connection
FOR DUST BINDING AND COOLING. For work with your power tool, this provides a permanent water supply to the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. The dosable water connection directly on the machine makes cutting with water easy and convenient.

Semi Automatic Drive Bekt Tensioning
EXTENDS THE BELT’S SERVICE LIFE. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. Ergonomic Handle
FOR PRECISE GUIDANCE. The ergonomic handle not only ensures you have a firm grip on the power tool, it also enables you to make precise cuts and guide them along marked lines. The quiet running and low vibration of the machine allows you to make precise cuts comfortably.

Fast Stop Brake
EFFICIENT WORK. When you release the control lever on your cut-off machine, the cut-off wheel will brake automatically within a few seconds. In addition, the energy gained is fed back into the battery (recuperation), improving its operating time.

Stihl Magnetic Filter
LONG SERVICE LIFE. Magnets in the cooling air flow intercept ferromagnetic particles from the air so that they do not reach the motor. This protects the motor and enables a long service life with consistently high performance. The filter can be easily removed, cleaned and reinstalled after work if required.

EC Motor
LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

IPX4 Certified
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
