Designed for demanding professional users, this high-performance chainsaw delivers the best power-to-weight ratio currently available on the market, making it ideal for felling, delimbing, and timber preparation.

Weighing just 5.5kg, the MS 400.1 C-M is 300g lighter than the previous MS 400, yet it produces an impressive 3.9 kW of power. Despite its smaller engine displacement, it achieves outstanding cutting performance, offering unrivalled efficiency for a 60cc petrol chainsaw. With 4.3 Nm of torque, the saw provides strong pulling power under load, reducing pressure sensitivity when cutting large timber and helping to prevent bogging during demanding cuts.

STIHL’s advanced M-Tronic engine management system ensures effortless starting, rapid throttle response, and consistently optimised performance in all operating conditions. The result is fast acceleration, reliable power delivery, and reduced operator fatigue throughout the working day.
