The STIHL FSA 86 cordless grass trimmer is light, quiet and powerful, making it perfect for use in large gardens and noise-sensitive areas. Thanks to the cordless technology, starting this perfectly balanced string trimmer is easier than ever. Fitted with an easy-to-use AutoCut C 6-2 nylon line mowing head, trimming lawn edges and mowing smaller areas is a breeze.
The practical spacer bracket that the FSA 86 cordless grass trimmer has allows you to easily trim around obstacles, trees and bushes with great ease without damaging them. Once you’ve finished trimming the grass, you can save space by using the hanging loop to hang your cordless grass string trimmer securely to a wall. The AP battery that is needed for the STIHL FSA86 is compatible with all other STIHL AP System tools, and there is a range of batteries to choose from depending on how long you need to use the tools for.

Housing with battery compartment
AP batteries can be fixed directly in the battery compartment of the engine crankcase. This makes work even more mobile and flexible.
Use with Smart Connector 1.0
The machine is compatible with the Smart Connector 1.0 device and can be easily integrated into STIHL connected.
Ergonomic control handle with Ergo lever
The ergonomic control handle, with control trigger for starting and stopping and locking the latter, absorbs part of the vibrations and holds very well in the hand.
Spacer bracket
Effectively protects your mower head against damage. Prevents damage to plants during wire cutting.
Rubberized circular handle
The circular handle is ideal for working in tight spaces, for example if you need to maintain an area surrounded by bushes and shrubs.
Tool-less cutting tool change
Cutting tools can be easily changed by hand, without tools. Compatible cutting tools are AutoCut C 6-2, PolyCut 6-2 and DuroCut 5-2.
EC motor with direct tool drive
The STIHL brushless electric motor (EC) offers high energy efficiency and is very wear resistant, in particular thanks to the STIHL upstream electronic control. The latter is a real intelligent control unit which detects the battery inserted in the machine and thus supplies the EC motor according to the power authorized by the type of battery. This ensures that the machine always has the optimum power - and does so consistently throughout the battery life.
