The Cub Cadet's XM3 ER53 delivers everything you would expect from a top model: exceptional mowing performance, high efficiency, easy handling and a professional appearance.

High performance comes from the powerful 179cc Kawasaki engine that gets more output than you'd expect from every cubic cm of engine displacement. The professional Kawasaki FJ 180 V KAI engine, with a high torque of up to 10, is equipped with a pressure lubrication system enabling you to negotiate slopes of up to 30 degrees.

The Cub Cadet XM3 ER53 also has a heavy duty transmission with aluminium housing which gives stepless variable speed drive so you can control the travelling speed of the mower without applying too much pressure to the drive lever.

Another notable feature on this model is the blade brake clutch. This BBC feature can be used to keep the engine running with the mowing deck switched off, providing safety when emptying the grass bag and saving time as there's no need to restart the engine.

The XM3 ER53 has a wide 53cm (21") aluminium deck which is ultra strong and protected from accidental knocks by tough front and side bumpers. More toughness comes in the shape of steel wheel rims, which are supported by ball bearings, and improve the running quality and stability of the mower.

Other superior features include Cub Cadet's 3T technology, a specially developed geometry inside the mower housing which ensures the most efficient grass collection through a turbo tunnel into the large 80 litre grass bag with dust blocker. The level indicator means you can see at a glance when it is time to empty the collector. The six-level cutting height can be adjusted centrally between 20mm and 90mm to suit the mowing conditions on the day and length of finish required.

A multi-function lawn mower, you decide whether to bag the clippings, mulch them using the plug included as standard, or discharge to the rear.

The ergonomic handlebar is height adjustable to suit the operator. Vibrations are kept low thanks to the axle with special shock absorbers, an anti-vibration ring between the mowing deck and engine.

Between uses the mower can stand firmly when turned over into a service position for easy access to the blades and mowing deck. The integrated mowing deck washing nozzle make it easy to keep the housing clean.
